Burney announces Rs10m relief goods for quake victims

ISLAMABAD—Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International has announced to send initial emergency relief goods worth Rs 10 million to the devastated earthquake victims in Indian held Kashmir.
Ansar Burney requested the Indian High Commission in Islamabad to issue visas to the Ansar Burney's team on an urgent basis so that it could take relief to Indian held Kashmir.
The Trust offered to provide warm clothings, blankets, mattresses, tents, food, medicines and doctors, along with goods for women's personal hygiene to the affected people by helicopters.
The people of Pakistan are with their brothers and sisters in Indian held Kashmir in this time of need and we are capable of providing them all forms of relief, Burney said.
He appealed to the Indian government to allow the Ansar Burney Trust to help the helpless and dying population of Kashmir and said his organization wishes not just to provide relief, but also help in the rehabilitation of the victims in Pakistan and Indian held Kashmir.
