NA, PAs bye-elections on 10th Dec

ISLAMABAD—Election Commission Wednesday announced the schedule for bye-election on five National Assembly seats and two provincial assemblies seats. The bye-elections for these seven seats would be held on December 10.
Five National Assembly seats fell vacant following their incumbents resigned after having been elected Zila Nazim/City District Nazim. These include NA-64 Sargodha-I, NA-132 Sheikhupura-II, NA-180 Muzaffargarh-V, NA-189 Bahawalnagar-II and NA-210 Jacobabad-III.
In addition bye-election in PS-120 Karachi-XXXII became due on account of death of Ali Bin Hamid Zaidi, MPA whereas seat in PF-75, Lakki Marwat-II became vacant after its incumbent member was disqualified by the Peshawar High Court.
The detailed programme for bye-elections in all the constituencies is given below:-
The Returning Officers will issue public notice inviting Nomination Papers on Nov. 12, 2005.
On Nov. 14-15 the Returning Officers will receive the nomination papers from the candidates. On Nov 16-17 nomination papers will be scrutinised by the Returning Officers. Nov. 19 will be the last date for filing of appeals against the decisions of Returning Officers rejecting/ accepting nomination papers. By Nov. 22 the appeals would be decided by the tribunals. Nov. 24 would be the last date for withdrawal of candidatures. On Nov 25 revised list of candidates would be published and the election would be held on December 10.
