EC restores 20 legislators after assets declaration

ISLAMABAD—Election Commission on Friday restored the membership of four Members of National Assembly and sixteen Members of Provincial Assemblies who were suspended following their failure to submit their yearly statement of assets and liabilities.
The MNAs whose membership was restored Friday included Qari Muhammad Yousaf (NA-22 Battagram), Qari Abdul Bais Siddiqi, (NA-29 Swat-I), Raja Muhammad Asad Khan, (NA-63 Jhelum-II) and Mr. Muhammad Sanaullah Khan, (NA-73 Bhakkar-1).
MPAs belonging to Punjab Assembly whose membership has been restored include Mr Muhammad Waris Shad, (PP-42 Khushab-IV), Malik Khalid Mehmood Wattoo, (PP-57 Faisalabad-VII), Mr Muhammad Saqlain Anwar Sipra, (PP-75 Jhang-III), Mr Muhammad Shoaib Siddiqui (PP-156 Lahore-XX), Malik Jawed Kamran Khar, (PP-255 Muzaffargarh-V) and Mr Muhammad Iqbal Rais (PP-285 Rahimyar Khan).
NWFP Assembly Members whose membership restored following submission of statements of assets include Mr Alam Zeb, (PF-19 Charsadda-III), Dr Muhammad Salim, (PF-31 Swabi-I), Mr Shad Muhammad Khan (PF-39 Kohat-III), Qari Muhammad Abdullah, (PF-43 Hangu-II), Muhammad Amin (PF-80-Swat-I), Maulana Nizamudddin, (PF-81-II), Maulana Mufti Hussain Ahmed, (PF-86 Swat-VII), Mr Hayat Khan, (PF-93 Upper Dir-III), Mr Sirajul Haq, (PF-95 Lower Dir-I), and Miss Sabira Shakir (elected on seats reserved for women).
