Rehabilitation Centre established at Pindi Transit Camp

RAWALPINDI—A Rehabilitation Centre has been established at Transit Camp Rawalpindi to look after the displaced people of earthquake affected areas who were earlier evacuated to Combined Military Hospital, Military Hospital, Fauji Foundation Hospital and Cantonment Board Hospital at Rawalpindi and now discharged from hospitals after necessary treatment. As many as 627 displaced people were living in the Transit Camp while 490 were discharged in last twenty four hours. The Transit Camp has been established by Station Headquarters Rawalpindi.
Presently 137 persons including 96 women and children are staying in the Transit Camp.
14 dislocated women and children, who were also staying in the Transit Camp after having been discharged from Hospital, have now been handed over to their relatives while efforts are being made to locate the relatives of remaining two females.
The Tranist Camp is established in six barracks separated into two parts for females, children and males. All necessary facilities like food, medicines and clean drinking water have been provider to the commuters in the Transit Camp.
At Military Hospital Rawalpindi four dislocated injured girls are still undergoing treatment and waiting for their relatives. Ms Farzeena d/o Badar Zaman belong to village Shikla, Ms Riffat d/o Muhammad Matin village Beri, Ms Mubasharra d/o Muhammad Anwar, Ms Rabia d/o Saif Ali, Gujar Bandi Muzaffarbad are undergoing treatment at Military Hospital Rawalpindi.—ISPR
