Road links to be restored before winter: AJK PM

ISLAMABAD—Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Sikandar Hayyat Khan said Thursday that in next 2-4 days all the roads in Neelum and Jehlum valleys would hopefully become operational. ln an interview to PTV he said, relief activities are going on with rapid pace in the affected areas under the supervision of Pak. army. Efforts are being made to restore communication infrastructure and provide appropriate shelter to the affectees before the snow fall season. There may be some inaccessible corners particularly along the Line of Control due to non-availability of communication infrastructure he said and added most of the affected areas are now being attended by the relief activists.
While expressing satisfaction over the medical treatment facilities in the affected areas he said, Pak. army , local and international organizations and individuals are playing excellent role in this regard. There is no shortage of medicines in the areas and the injured are getting adequate treatment, he said. He said telephone and wireless services have been restored almost in all the urban areas while the efforts are being made to restore rest of infrastructure as early as possible.—APP
