Air Chief visits PAF Hospital at E-9

ISLAMABAD—Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force visited PAF Hospital E-9, Islamabad, to oversee the medical treatment administered by the PAF Hospital staff to the earthquake victims.
The Air Chief visited ITC, Surgical and Medical Wards and consoled the patients. During his visit, he issued instructions that every patient admitted in the hospital is eligible for “relief goods” which include, tents, Blankets, etc and PAF will ensure that every patient at PAF hospital not only receive the subject aid but would also ensure to air lift the patient alongwith relief goods to Muzafarabad or Bagh for rehabilitation.
The Air Chief while consoling a patient, whose leg was amputated, ordered that the cost of artificial limbs for those patients, who are being treated at PAF Hospital Islamabad, will be borne by PAF.
Up till now, 97 earthquake casualties have been under gone surgical operations at PAF Hospital, 15 patients have been discharged whereas 65 civilian persons are still admitted and are being treated
Talking to the media representatives, Air Chief expressed his satisfaction on the medical treatment being provided by the staff of PAF Hospital and lauded their dedicated efforts to give comfort and care to the quake affected patients. He said that PAF is planning to establish a Base Camp in Bagh to render all possible relief assistance to their countrymen at this time of need.—DPR (Navy)
