20-member Pak Badminton squad leaves for India

LAHORE—A 20-member Pakistan Badminton squad left here on Tuesday for India to take part in Indian Satellite international badminton tournament being played in New Delhi from October 20-23.
The party comprises 13 men players and 4 female players and 3 officials.
Wajid Ali, Umer Zeeshan, Muhammad Waqas, Aamer Islam, Tahir Ishaq, Imran Mohib, Ali Yaar Baig, Zafar Tasneem, Shabbar Hussain, Atif, Hashir, Ejaz and Rziwan Azam.
Ladies player are Ayesha Akram, Asma Butt, Uzma Butt and Sara Mohmand. Secretary, Pakistan Badminton Federation, Aamir Hayat Rokari is the chef de mission. Waseem Zaman will act as
manager and Tariq Farooq was named as Coach.
Naqi Mohsin, Senior Vice President, PBF has expressed the hope that visit of India would help in preparing the team for the next years SAF Games to be held in Sri Lanka.
“We are confident that our players will put up their best show while playing in Indian satellite”, he said.
