Quake crafted new bond among
parliamentarians, says Kashmala

ISLAMABAD—MNA Kashmala Tariq has hailed the spirit of parliamentarians
from both treasury and opposition in which they carried out the relief
work in earthquake stricken areas saying the quake has created a new
bond among the parliamentarians.
Ms Tariq who is also coordinator of National Assembly Relief Committee
addressing a group of quake affectees at Parliament House said
government will not leave any stone unturned in helping the people of
the earthquake affected areas and will utilize all available resources
besides international and local aide assistance for this purpose.
She said government and opposition and standing side by side in this
testing time, which is prove of the fact that Pakistani nation is a
single unit.
“There is no indication that these lawmakers are from treasury or from
opposition because they have set aside their personal and political
differences are trying to help the affectess in quake ravaged areas of
Azad Kashmir and NWFP,” she underscored.
So far, she said NA Relief Committee has dispatched several trucks full
of relief goods for the quake affectees.
Speaking on the occasion Tahmina Dasti, chairperson NA Standing
Committee on Education said that government is trying to dispatch relief
items to the affected areas.
However, the rehabilitation of quake affectees is a difficult task and
government is trying to complete this task in an apt manner, she
underlined. They later on distributed aide provision slips among the
earthquake affectess, under this plan government will provide relief
assistance to the affectees in the relief camps just to ensure that
relief items have reached the deserving people.
Large number of women who were present on the occasion hailed
government’s steps for their rehabilitation.
