Edhi calls on Premier

ISLAMABAD—Head of Edhi Welfare organisation Abdul Sattar Edhi Monday informed Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz about the relief measures by the organisation for the affectees of the earthquake.
Prime Minister appreciated the remarkable work put in by the organisation in providing shelter, food, warm clothing and medicines to the people.
He said organisations like Edhi were helping the government in providing relief to the inaccessible areas through their volunteers and the large fleet of ambulances.
Abdul Sattar Edhi also informed the Prime Minister about the problems being faced by the people and suggested different measures to improve the distribution of aid for all the affectees.
President AJK Sardar Muhammad Anwar Khan and Prime Minister AJK Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan who were also present during the meeting also appreciated the assistance provided by the Edhi Welfare Trust.
