Yes to Indian copters sans pilots: FO

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Monday said it would accept helicopters from India for the relief operations in its earthquake affected areas, if they were offered without pilots.
Foreign Office spokesperson responding to a question about Indian aid said Pakistan was already receiving relief goods from India and appreciated this assistance.
The spokesperson said Pakistan High Commissioner in New Delhi is already procuring winterized tents from India on urgent basis.
“Relief goods from India are already arriving and we appreciate this assistance”.
About the helicopters the spokesperson said “Pakistan is willing to accept helicopters from India if these are offered without pilots. Given the obvious sensitivities, we could not accept involvement of Indian military on our side for relief operations”.
Islamabad on Monday accepted the offer of Indian helicopters for the relief purposes in the quake-hit areas on the condition of without pilots.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Pakistan could not accept involvement of Indian military on its side for relief operations.
Tasneem Aslam said that Pakistan was accepting relief assistance from India. She said that relief goods from India were already arriving in Pakistan and we appreciated this assistance.
In order to meet the acute shortage of winterized tents, she said that Pakistan’s High Commissioner in New Delhi had been asked to arrange procurement of this item from India on an urgent basis.
