Special traffic arrangements made for quake-hit areas

Islamabad—To facilitate the commuters on roads Muree-Kohala-Muzaffarbad, Kohala-Deerkot- Bagh, Abbottabad-Ghari HabibUllah-Muzaffarbad and Road Shankiari-Batgram Muree-Kohala, Military Police has made special traffic arrangements.
A control centre has been established at General Headquarters to monitor the two Military Police Units who have been assigned the responsibility of regulating the traffic flow. Besides two Military Police Units, which are integral part of the Formation at Muree, an additional unit of Military Police has been deployed to regulate the excessive flow of traffic on Road Muree-Kohala- Muzaffarabad and Road Kohala-Bagh.
The Military Police units in collaboration with Traffic Police is round the clock busy to keep the traffic moving.
Regulatory Headquarters has been established at Kohala while the Sector Headquarters has been established at Muzaffarabad ( Dulai), Dheerkot and Muree. Mobile Traffic Post operates within the Sectors to keep the Sector Headquarters posted about the situation. Sector Headquarters subsequently keep Regulatory Headquarters posted about the traffic situation.
Similar arrangements have been made on Road Abbottabad-Mansehra-Shankiari-Balakot-Garhi HabibUllah.
Authorities have requested the general public to follow the traffic rules and inform the nearest Military Police Post in case of any difficulty. Authorities have also requested the general public to avoid overtaking, keep your lane, park your vehicle on the extreme left of the road, must have water and some eatables in your car and cooperate with the Traffic Control Organization on the road.
