PML decides to convene APC on relief work

ISLAMABAD—Central Executive Committee of Pakistan Muslim League Saturday decided to convene All Parties Conference to discuss the relief and rehabilitation work being done for the help of those who had been affected due to devastated earthquake of October 8.
The meeting of the CEC of the PML held here at the PML House under the Chairmanship of its President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and attended by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, federal ministers and senior vice presidents and other leaders of the party.
Briefing the newsmen, PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said PML is ready to convene the APC as suggested by other political parties so that there should be join and coordinated efforts by all the political parties to help the earthquake victims as it is a natural disaster.
The Central Executive Committee of the PML also appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Army, national and international relief organizations for providing promote and untiring assistance in the earthquake affected areas.
The PML also commended the zeal and enthusiasm of people of Pakistan shown on this occasion and extended help and assistance to the people affected due to the devastated earthquake.
The CEC also passed a resolution expressing profound sympathy for the victims of the earthquake and praised the Pakistani nation rising to the occasion and mobilizing massive relief efforts.
The PML also expressed gratitude to the international community and friendly nations for immediately responding to the challenge by providing generous aid and organizing relief efforts in the earthquake affected areas.
The CEC of the PML also praised the remarkable work one by the Pakistani armed forces, civilian authorities, local and international NGOs working in Pakistan and motivated citizens, who have been doing voluntary work to provide relief.
The Executive Committee paid tributes to President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz for their bold leadership and personal interest and supported the determination of the government and people of Pakistan to spare no efforts to undertake a well coordinated programme of reconstruction and rehabilitation of the survivors.
The CEC of the PML also reviews the arrangements to provide relief to the unfortunate victims of the disastrous earthquake.
