Pakistan’s first female Information Officer dies

KARACHI—Mrs Musarrat Jehan Burki, country's first female officer of Information Service Group of Federal Government died here on Saturday evening. She was 82.
Born on 14th August 1923, Begum Musarrat Jehan was a prolific writer and a poetess. She belongs from the Taimuri family and Mughal families of India. She was sister of senior bureaucrat and noted lawyer Mr M Z A Taimuri.
Dead body of Begum Musarrat Jehan would be arrived in Islamabad for burial in Islamabad Graveyard H-8 today. Her Namaz-e-Janaza will be offered in Islamabad at the residence of Mr M Z A Taimuri (House # 7, Street # 46, Sector F-8/1, Islamabad).
