Japanese Society donates 100 blankets for earthquake victims

ISLAMABAD—Mr. Hiroshi Azuma, Minister Embassy of Japan in Pakistan handed over donation of 100 blankets on behalf of the Japanese Society and Japanese Association of Commerce & Industries, Islamabad to PTV Centre at earthquake victims relief camp in Islamabad this morning.
Mr. Ayub Khoso, renowned TV star, Khawaja Najamul Hassan, General Manager, PTV Centre, Islamabad and Mr. Sarwar Munir Rao, Controller PTV News received the donation in a simple ceremony.
Talking to PTV news at this occasion Mr. Azuma gave brief details of aid being provided by the Government of Japan to Pakistan for the earthquake victims. He told that Japan Disaster Relief Team comprising of several dozen experts and doctors is already particularly in operation in the most affected areas of Pakistan. A contingent of 110 Japan Self Defense Force from Japan arrived yesterday and helicopters have arrived today, he added. He further informed that Japan is also providing 20 million US $ dollar aid to Pakistan to deal with the situation.
