APMA distributes 20 trucks of relief items among quake victims

ISLAMABAD—All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) has distributed 20 truckloads of relief goods among the victims of earthquake in affected areas.
All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA), Chairman, Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti along with the team of APMA visited the affected areas of Balakot, Gari Habibullah, Jabbi, Muzaffarabad, Mansera and Abattabad. He distributed tents, blankets,, food items, water and other essentials of life among the victims and assured them of complete solidarity and assistance.
He said, “Religious Minorities of Pakistan arc with the victim brother and sisters in this time of turbulence and grief. We will continue to play our effective role for the rehabilitation and assistance of victims of earthquake”.
He said, “APMA has set up relief camps through out the country and a base camp at Balakot from where the relief goods and assistance will be extended. APMA workers arc reaching out people in need and carrying out rescue activities in the most affected areas”.
“APMA is providing medicines and blood for the patients. Medical camps are also being set up in the calamity struck areas, for which expert doctors from abroad are requested to render their services in these medical camps”, he added.
Mr. Bhatti said, “Thousands of children, orphans, shelter less and wounded people are sitting under open sky in cold and rainy weather, crying for help. In this devastating situation we all should share the suffering, miseries, grief and sorrows of these victims”.
APMA chief appealed to all Pakistanis with in the country or abroad specifically Christians and other religious minorities to launch massive relief efforts and donate generously to the victims and help to rescue many lives.
