Legislation on CII report in offing: Ijaz

ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Ijaz ul Haq has said that the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has forwarded its report to the parliament however the legislation in this respect will made after a thorough debate in the House.
He told the house during Friday’s proceedings in the question hour, he said the parliament has received the report of CII suggestions but the legislation in this regard will take place after detailed debate in the parliament. On a query, federal minister for Education Javed Ashraf Qazi said that a syllabus Council will be constituted to review the curriculum being taught in Pakistani institutes because the syllabus does not fulfill the needs of the examination control boards and educational institutions.
Whereas, government is also planning to set up National Education Management System for streamlining and making the existing education statistics at federal level more reliable, he added. In order to collect the complete data a national education census has also been started.
Federal minister for industries and production Jehangir Tareen on a query replied in written and told the house that three new Urea Plants will be set up in the country and three companies have submitted their expression of interest in this regard.
On another query he said, government has no control over the prices of vehicles, however government has directed the car producers to increase their productions. Government, Jehangir said has also reduced Import Custom Duty. On a query, Syed Safwanullah, federal minister for housing and works said that ministry of information has made some suggestions of increasing and changes in the list of allotment of 171 plots in sector G-14 in journalists quota and the report in this regard has been forwarded to the executive committee.
On a question, federal minister for tourism G G Jamal said tourism industry has collected Rs 78 million as fee from tourists.
