Egypt sends 2 planes carrying aid for quake affectees

ISLAMABAD—Two Egyptian military planes landed at Chaklala Airbase on October 12th, carrying relief and humanitarian assistance to Pakistan. The assistance ordered by President Hosny Mubarak includes tents, blankets, medicines and food. President Mubarak and in response to the call of assistance by President Pervez Musharraf yesterday gave immediate instructions to send additional relief assistance to Pakistan. A third military plane will deliver the new Egyptian assistance on Friday, October 14th. The additional assistance reflects the utmost concern of the Egyptian people related to the dramatic circumstances in various parts of Pakistan due to the earthquake on October 8th.—PR
