India delivers quake relief to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD—Indian plane carrying relief goods for the earthquake victims arrived here Wednesday.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam confirming the arrival of the Indian plane said India has sent tents, medicines and other relief goods.
The Indian cargo plane delivered relief supplies for earthquake victims to the Pakistani officials at the Chaklala air base Wednesday morning.
The relief goods from India include seven truck loads of medicines, 15,000 blankets and 50 tents.
The flight arrived after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had offered to send Pakistan whatever aid it needed for earthquake affectees.
Singh said, “we are willing to supply to Pakistan whatever is needed”.—Agencies
