Relief teams given free visa

ISLAMABAD—Ministry of Interior Tuesday clarified that foreign relief and rescue teams coming to Pakistan are not liable to pay any charges for visa and they are being given one week free of cost landing permit.
A spokesman of Ministry of Interior while commenting on the news item about the visa fee for the relief and rescue teams, said one week landing permit being issued to these teams is free of cost.
The spokesman further explained that to further facilitate the visiting teams and avoid any chances of malpractice, Tariq Khosa, Additional Director General (Immigration), FIA has been appointed as focal person by the Ministry of Interior, on a 24 hours basis to whom any such complaint will be referred. Meanwhile, a senior FIA officer will present at the airport to guide the visiting rescue and relief teams to the concerned counter.
