NH&MP sends relief goods for quake victims

ISLAMABAD—National Highways & Motorway Police sent a convoy consisting of relief goods in 07 Trucks, medicines and other necessary items. However, a Rescue Team of 35 officers of Motorway Police under the headship of an SSP and a team of 03 Doctors, 03 Para Medicals alongwith 03 Ambulances has also been sent to the affected areas of earthquake for the restoration of victims.
All these relief goods have been a rranged by the O fficers a nd S taff of M otorway Police. Motorway P olice h as also set up Relief Camps for the victims of earthquake at different locations like Sukheki Service Area, Bhera and Kalar kahar Service Areas of M-2, G.T Road (Motorway Chowk), Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal Toll Plaza, Okara, Cheecha Watni and Karachi. The relief items collected through the Relief Camps will be forwarded to the affected areas.
This first convoy 07 Trucks and 03 Ambulances has been seen off today by the Federal Minister for Communications Mr. Muhammad Shammim Siddiqui and Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Mr. Ahmed Nasim. The Federal Minister for Communications and Inspector General Motorway Police has also said that the Motorway Police is playing a vital role in this National Disaster and is trying hard for the revival of the victims.
The Inspector General, National Highway & Motorway Police has also requested the public that if any body wants to sent relief items to the affected areas and he has no resource for the same, he may hand over the relief goods at Relief Camps of Motorway Police, so that the items may be sent to the affected areas in time.
