Bureau Report

BEIJING—Chinese Red Cross organization has announced a financial assistance of $3,50,00 for quake victims in Pakistan. Pakistan's Ambassador in China Mr. Salman Bashir, while talking to The Daily Mail here informed that he held a meeting with Chinese red Cross organization on Monday. During the meeting the Red Cross officials announced an aid package of US $3,50,00 to help Pakistan meet the quake emergency.
"Out of these $3,50,000, a cash amount of $100,000 was handed over to me today while the rest of the money would be used by the Red Cross authorities of China for the purchase of medicines for the quake victims and these medicines would be dispatched to Pakistan shortly", said Ambassador Salman Bashir. He hailed this kind and generous gesture on part of China's Red Cross organization.
It may be added here that the financial aid package, announced by the Super Power of the world and Pakistan's otherwise good friend i.e. the United States was merely $100,000, less than half to what the Chinese Red Cross organization announced and some 61 times lesser that the Chinese government has announced.
