CJCS visits injured at CMH, MH

RAWALPINDI—Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Ehsan Ul Haq Sunday visited Combined Military Hospital and Military Hospital and met patients injured by yesterday’s earthquake and inquired about their well being. Most of those patients have been brought by Army Helicopters from badly hit Azad Kashmir area. Talking to the staff of hospital he said that it was an hour of crises for whole nation and required coordinated relief efforts. He also apprised them that steps have been taken by the Government to ensure speedy relief operation. He appreciated the dedicated efforts of CMH and MH staff and announced Rs. 1 Million for the welfare of patients and their relatives visiting them. Lieutenant General Syed Muhammad Afzal and Station Commander Brigadier Waqar Raja were also present on the ocassion.—PR
