EC announces unofficial results of 3rd Phase of LG elections

ISLAMABAD—Election Commission of Pakistan has un-officially announced the results of tehsils, districts, town councils of all four provinces for the third phase of local government elections.
According to Election Commission, official results would be announced as soon as final results are obtained from returning officers.
According to notification issued from Election Commission of Pakistan, Chief Election Commission Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar has declared the unofficial results of tehsils, districts, town councils of all four provinces for the third phase of local government elections.
Agencies add: Earlier, Acting Chief Election Commissioner, Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar described the third phase of the Local Body elections as transparent and fair and dispelled allegations with regard to the polling across the country as baseless.
This he told journalists here on the occasion of visiting different polling stations in the city. He personally talked with election candidates, their agents and polling staff of the different polling stations here and carried out review of law and order in the areas where polling stations were set up. He informed the reporters that the polling occurred so peacefully and smoothly that they didn’t have had any complaint of any untoward incident.
