Two booked for rash driving

Accused Asar Ali was driving Honda Shahzor; RLA-5907 recklessly at GT Road, thus was arrested by PS Tarnol. A case has been registered accordingly. In another case, accused Raja Mehtab was booked for rash driving bike RIT-4002 around Zia Masjid. A case has been registered at PS Shahzad Town.

Road accident claims life

Javed Iqbal’s security time supervisor; Muhammad Aslam, was going on Kashmir Highway on bike; RLB-9110 when another vehicle; C-1281/H-R being driven by Amjad Hussein, hit him. Muhammad Aslam died on the spot while the accused escaped from the scene. A case has been registered at PS Shalimar, respectively.

Caught in act

Zafar Iqbal, resident of Rawalpindi, parked his Suzuki FX; RIP-672 worth Rs2lac at Sabzi andi’s parking lot and got busy in some errand. However, upon return, the vehicle was not found at the parked spot. A little away, the culprit namely Muhammad Waheed was found, taking away the car. Upon commotion, the watchman stopped the culprit. In the meantime, cop personnel and a flock of masses gathered around the scene, blocking the accused from left, right and centre. A case has been registered at PS Sabzi Mandi.

Forgery

Accused Matloob Ahmad and Muhammad Irfan took Khani Zaman to Talhar promising him Zakat where he got his signatures on stamp paper. Later they entered Zaman’s property on the same and sold it. When he contacted the accused, they threatened to kill Zaman and have illegally occupied the land. A case has been registered at PS Kohsar.

Valuables looted

Adnan was moving at F-6/1 on RLV-2462 when three culprits armed with pistol and knifes, stopped him and snatched away cash, gold, ATM card and other valuables worth 1 lac and 45 thousand rupees while escaping from the scene. A case has been registered at PS Kohsar.
In another incident, Haji Muhammad Tariq, Sajjad Ahmad and Waheed Akhtar were going back home in Pindi on IDK-6957 at Karia when they saw big stones on the road. As they stopped to remove them, 7-8 armed men appeared out of nowhere and snatched away cash, mobile, watch and other valuables. The culprits then took in their victims to the nearby fields where they tied up their hands and feet. They also took away Rs.15 lac cash from the car. A case has been registered at PS Shehzad Town.
