ISLAMABAD—The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has become a member of
International Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education (IQAA).
Based in Dublin, the Agency has three categories of membership i.e. full

the category to be given to a particular organization on the basis of
quality control measures adopted by it, announced HEC here on Wednesday.
The IQAA was established in 1991 with the main objective to collect and
disseminate information on current and developing theory and practice in

It provides assistance to the members to determine the standards of
higher education institutions operating across national borders. The
IQAA in higher education also facilitates the development of new quality
assurance agencies in the member countries and provides technical advice
on the subject.
