ANF arrests 5, recovers 15kg

ISLAMABAD—According to Brigadier Tahir Saleem, Force Commander Regional
Directorate Anti Narcotics Force Rawalpindi, on the receipt of special
information that a gang of smugglers will attempt to smuggle the drugs
from NWFP to Punjab through vehicle bearing registration No.
M-4545-Karachi (White Suzuki Mehran), A naka was laid under the
supervision of Capt. Wajid Bashir Minhas, Assistant Director Police
Station Anti Narcotics Force Rawalpindi at G.T Road near Tarnol Railway
Crossing.
The driver of the vehicle was signalled to stop, but the driver did not
stop the vehicle. The vehicle was chased by the ANF Staff, which finally
entered into H. No. NE-716 Street No 3 Dhoke Farman Ali Rawalpindi.
Accordingly the said house was raided whereby under mentioned persons
ware caught red handed while delivering the charas to the residents.
They were found shifting the charas from the secret cavity made inside
the fuel tank of above said car into two other vehicles bearing
registration No. GAE-585 (Suzuki FX Taxi) and RIP-568 Suzuki FX (Green
Colour) already parked in side of that house.
Arrest of the persons along with recovery of 15.000 kg of Charas was
effected at the spot include; Muhammad Asif S/O Muhammad Ashraf Caste
Pathan R/O H No. NE-406 St No 3 Dhoke Forman Ali Rawalpindi, Ali Akbur
Khan S/O Tawab Khan Caste Memon R/O Village Hasid Tehsil Takhat Bhai
Distt Mardan, Aziz Khan S/O Faqir Khan Caste Pathan R/O St No 3 Dhoke
Farman Ali Rawalpindi, Sneed Wall Khan S/O Fazal Mehmood Caste Muhammad
Zai R/O Mohallah Sheikhan Muhmmad Zai P. O Gulo Zai The and Distt
Peshawar and Waqar Khan S/0 Raza Khan Caste Muhammad Zai R/O Mohallah
Shcikhan Muhammad Zai P.O Gulo Zai Teh & Dian Peshawar. A case FIR No.
U/S 9 (C) 14 x15 CNSA/97 has been registered against them at Police
Station Anti Narcotics Force, Rawalpindi. Further investigation is in
progress.
Illicit arms recovered
PS Tarnol, during routine patrol at Jhangi Saidan, recovered a 12-bore
raptor gun from some Syed Zameer-ul-Hassan. A case has been registered
against accused.
Cheque dishonoured
Haji Riaz Ahmad had borrowed 2crore and 46lac rupees from some Bashir
Hussein. However, as the culprit gave a cheque to return the cash, from
his son Abid’s account, the cheque was dishonoured from the bank. The
accused had extended the cheque after mutual consultation with his sons;
Abid and Khalid. A case has been registered at PS Shalimar,
respectively.
Valuables stolen
M. Mubarak, an employee of some office at Shaheed-e-Millat Secretariat,
had locked the office the other night. However, at opening the office
the next morning, a computer along certain hardware worth Rs.80,000, was
found to be missing. A case has been registered at PS Kohsar.
Vehicle lifted
Adnan Khalid parked his Toyota Corrolla; HF-209, white, 2004 model,
worth Rs.8 lac, at Melody Market, along Food Park, from where it was
lifted away. A case has been registered at PS Aabpara. |
