1st Ramazan on Thursday

PESHAWAR—Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Mufti Munibur Rehman has said that Ramazan moon has not been sighted any where in the country therefore, first Ramzan will fall on October 6 (Thursday).
The Chairman made the announcement after a meeting held here at Auqaf Plaza Tuesday evening. The meeting was held for sighting or the otherwise of the Ramazan moon.
Maulana Mufti Munibur Rehman said that since no credible evidence has been reported from any part of the country, therefore, first Ramzan will commence from October 6 (Thursday).
The meeting of the Central Ruet e Hilal Committee was attended by its members Maulana Abdur Rehman Madni, Khalid Riaz Hussain, Mufti Muhammad Arif, Qari Abdur Rashid, Dr. Muhammad Qureshi, Dr. Habibur Rehman Director Religious Affairs, Attaullah Haq Darwaish, Ghulam Ali Zahid, Sabir Ahmad Kakakhel, Muhammad Naeemur Rehman Director General Met Office and Mufti Abdul Rafique.
