ISLAMABAD—Capital Cops have laid down security plan for Ramazan while deploying armed personnel all over mosques, imambargahs, markets and various other sensitive areas.
According to details, SSP Islamabad; Sikandar Hyatt has given final shape to the overall security arrangements for Ramazan. Cop officers and SHOs of every police station have been especially directed to initiate effective security measures and arrangements in this regard have been made at various levels.
12 additional duties have been assigned with regard to city’s security arrangements for the month. Motorbike patrolling has been extended to 24-hour. Various rest houses, guest houses, hotels and motels would be thoroughly checked. Hosts of mosques, religious seminaries and imambargahs have been sternly ordered not to let any stranger stay at their places. CDA, on the other hand, has been issued written directives for clearing off the woods around worship areas and installing proper lights at the same, accordingly.
Campaign against beggars is also underway. Besides the additional cop personnel kept mobile for Ramazan, private security guards have also been deployed for the purpose. All police stations have been provided with additional personnel than their own which would keep a stringent watch on all religious shrines, all through Ramazan.
SSP Islamabad has issued directives to all SDPOs and SHOs warning them that no slackness would be tolerated with regard to security duties for Ramazan. Thus, each cop officer would be responsible for security arrangements at religious shrines at his jurisdiction area and he would keep on checking the security duties, accordingly. Those cop officers or personnel administering slackness in security duties would be taken strict action against so that the security arrangements could be made effective and citizens be provided maximum security.
