Wheel-jam against POL prices today
Bureau Report

KARACHI—Talks between Sindh provincial administration and transporters have failed so the wheel-jam strike will be observed today (Tuesday) against day by day hike in POL prices.
“ We can not call off the strike because the sky rocketing hike in petroleum products continues since last nine months,” said President Karachi Transporters Ittehad Syed Arshad Hussain Khan (KTI).
The price of petrol increased to Rs 19.37 per liter and rise in diesel price went high up to Rs 13.81 per liter and this hike does not seem to stop,” he added.
In a reply to a question he disassociated KTI from strike called tomorrow (Wednesday) and termed the reports of that strike as baseless and unfounded.
The KTI vehicles will surely ply on the roads to and from all the routes tomorrow, he said. Meanwhile one-hour talks between KTI members headed by Syed Arshad Hussain Khan with Chief Secretary Sindh Fazal-ur-Rehman and IG Sindh, CCPO Karachi, DIG Operation Karachi unexpectedly did not bear any fruit and failed.
