‘Masses’ friendly attitude to help raise traffic cops’ image’

ISLAMABAD—SP Traffic Islamabad; Sultan Azam Temuri has said that in order to improve the image of cops, it was imperative that the later dealt with the general masses with politeness and carry a more or less helping attitude with them. He expressed these views while addressing the cop participants of a course, at it’s concluding ceremony, organized by Rozan, here this Monday.
According to details, on the special directives of IGP Islamabad; Iftikhar Ahmad Chaudhry, various courses are underway for improving the performance of Capital Cops in general and for initiating model Traffic Cops’ performance. Through such courses, Traffic Cops are taught to maintain a pleasant attitude towards the masses. Various lectures are conducted in this regard.
Thus, extending the idea further, a social organization; Rozan, iniated a month-long course for Traffic Cops. It’s concluding ceremony was held here this Monday. In the ceremony held under the chair of SP Traffic; Sultan Azam Temuri, certificates were distributed among the course participants. Speaking at the occasion, he stated that in order to raise the image of cops, such courses were needed so that the cop officers learn to adopt positive attitude towards citizens through training. He hoped that the cops taking up the course would in turn gain masses’ trust.
He further stated that in order to improve the performance of cops, it was essential that the later treat the masses with politeness. He thanked Rozan for the mutual co-operation in the cause while hoping for the collaboration to remain intact.
