PTCL dispels impression about unannounced withdrawal of free call facility

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Telecommunication Limited (PTCL) has dispelled the impression against the fact that it has withdrawn free call facility during night hours in an unannounced fashion.
PTCL spokesman said free call facility was granted during night hours from 12 pm to 6 am for six months under a special package on August, 14 last year with reference to independence day and it was extended for further six months from February, 2006. PTCL had repeatedly been clarifying about the period of its package and nothing was kept hidden in this regard, he added.
Introduction and withdrawal of special package is a routine matter and top administration of the company has been deciding about it, keeping in view the prevailing situation, the spokesman underlined.
