ZTBL to start disbursement of loans for Rabi crops

ISLAMABAD—Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) is all set to start disbursement of loans for Rabi Crops under the window operation (ZARKHAIZ) from 3rd October 2005 / ZTBL has already earmarked Rs. 17.268 million for farm credit loans during Rabi season.
Under one-window operation production loans will be provided on every Monday and Tuesday throughout the country with the collaboration of respective provincial governments, Agriculture Department, Board of revenues and postal Authorities.
ZTBL has introduced one window operation to meet the production credit needs of small farmers timely and satisfactory. Due to the timely credit availability farmers are in position to use good quality seeds, appropriate dozes of fertilizer and pesticides, which in turn enhance the yield of crops substantially. One window operation is meant for small farmers. Farmers having land holding up to 25 Acres irrigated and 50 Acres Barani are eligible to get loans under this scheme. Maximum limit of Rs. 0.100 million per farmers' case under one window operation and Rs. 0.200 million under SADA Bahar (Revolving credit) scheme through one window operation has been fixed.
Loan application from is free of cost. In order to further facilitate the farmers Application for Tractor loans will also be received during one window operation.
