Argentina asked to train Pak professionals in milk, meat processing

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan has urged Argentina to provide short and long term training to Pakistani professionals in the discipline of milk and meat processing, conservation of genetic resources, animal health and production and quarantine services.
This was discussed in the meeting of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Minister of Argentina, Calvdio Sabasy who called on Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture Sikander Hayat Bosan here on Tuesday.
It was decided in the meeting to benefit from the technology of each other countries in the fields of Sun Flower, Cotton and Livestock.
Federal Minister said that Pakistan is exporting meat to the countries of Middle East, Afghanistan and many other countries and urged Argentina Minister to set up dairy farms in Pakistan to overcome shortage of meat.
The Food Minister of Argentina Clavdio said that both the countries should help each other in the sector of Agriculture specially.
The Federal Minister informed the Minister that Pakistan ids not only producing good quality meat, chicken and fish but also export it to other countries particularly to the Gulf States. However Pakistan is interested in import of god quality of sunflower seed for sell purposes from Argentina.
With regard to milk, the minister informed that Pakistan is the 5th largest producer of milk in the world but due to non [processing of milk, a large quality ids either spoiled or consumed locally, Pakistan concerned welcomes and Argentina entrepreneur who wishes to visit to Pakistan in the processing of milk.
