Air Chief urges students to follow footsteps of predecessors

LOWER TOPA (MURREE)—Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat, Chief of Air Staff, advised the students of PAF Public School Lower Topa, Murree Hills, to carry forward the lofty traditions of valour, courage and character set by their illustrious predecessors.
He was addressing the pre-cadets on the occasion of the seventh Parents’ Day of the institution. Prizes for outstanding achievements were awarded to pre-cadets Mian Samiullah Jan and Fahad Kahlil - Topian Tiger; pre-cadets Danish Habib and Naeemullah Khan - Top Boys; pre-cadets Osama Sharif - Topian Eagle and pre-cadet Osama Sharif - Best in Parade. The coveted Quaid-e-Azam shield went to Sir Syed House.
A colourful and joyous atmosphere was witnessed wherein parents from all corners of the country had flocked in large numbers to participate in the founding day ceremony of the school. Lower Topa inducts children into class eight and takes them up to F Sc. After qualifying the intermediate examination, the boys appear for ISSB and then are sent to PAF Academy Risalpur to become fighter pilots or engineers.
The prize distribution was preceded by a scintillating display of agility, smartness and skill. The items presented by the students included a flawless march-past, PT, gymnastics and martial arts. The CAS praised the high standards demonstrated by the students. He exhorted the students to inculcate in themselves the true qualities of leadership, morality and ethical values. He praised the boys and the staff for exceptional results in curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities. The principal Air Commodore (Retd) M Tariq Qureshi, in his annual report highlighted the achievements of the school. The outstanding feature was a GPA of 5.97 which was the highest ever achieved in the history of Federal Board SSC examination. He also focused on personality grooming and efforts towards creating a public schools ethos. The Air Chief announced three mega projects comprising a high rise multi-storied Academic Block, a School Reception and boundary demarcation for the institution. The parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the quality of education being imparted to their children.
