‘Nathiagali, Muree to get gas supply soon’

ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Amanullah Khan Jadoon said on Saturday that gas supply project to Nathiagali had been approved in principle and work will be started after the completion of Murree project.
He made this announcement while addressing a public meeting in Nathiagali. The meeting was also attended by the newly elected Nazims of the Union Councils of the area.
Mr. Jadoon said that the Government under the sagacious leadership of President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz was striving to provide the basic amenitiesto the people at their door steps and remote and less privileged areas were given top priority in order to bring them at par with the developed ones. The Minister said that the people had rejected the opportunists in the recently held local bodies election and they would do so in the next phase.
He called upon the elected representatives to cast their vote in favour of pious, honest and deserved candidates who could work selflessly for the well being of the people.
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Speaker National Assembly Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob said that the government was using all its resources for the socio economic progress and prosperity of the country and basic facilities of life were being provided to the people in nook and corner of the country indiscriminately.
He said that the people have reposed confidence in the newly elected representatives in the local bodies election and it was their national obligation to work hard with devotion and dedication for the well being of people of the area. Sardar Yaqoob said that during the last few years a record number of development projects were completed which had helped to raise the living standard of the people.
The newly elected representatives also spoke on the occasion and expressed their firm resolve to discharging their entrusted task with national spirit and hard work. They lauded the government's efforts for the betterment of the people and alleviating the poverty and backwardness from the country..
