Full dress rehearsal of Fauji Mela
tomorrow

RAWALPINDI—To pay homage to brave sons of the soil who
rendered supreme sacrifices in the defence of motherland
in war of September 1965 various programmes have been
arranged.
A full dress of the Fauji Mela will be held at 0830
hours on 4th September 2005. The full dress rehearsal is
open for general public. Students of schools and
colleges are welcomed to witness the full dress
rehearsal on 4th September 2005.
For the security and safety of the public, intends to
witness the full dress rehearsal on 4th September 2005
and 6th September 2005 Fauji Mela are requested not to
bring mobile phone, digital diary, remote, camera and
hand bags with them.
As a part of Defence Day of Pakistan celebrations a
grand Fauji Mela will be held on 6 September 2005 at
Race Course Ground Rawalpindi. For the convenience of
the general public witnessing the Fauji Mela, necessary
traffic arrangements have been made and sign posting and
points man have been placed to guide the guests.
All vehicles bearing white stickers coming from the
direction of Saddar and Peshawar would follow white
route and converge onto Qasim Market Chowk on the Mall
Road. These vehicles would use the main gate of
Rawalpindi Polo Club to enter their Car Park.
The army officers of the rank of Brigadier and below,
families of Shuhadas and students who have been issued
blue stickers would follow blue route and converge onto
Race Course Road, Mall Road T Cross. These vehicles
would then turn onto the Race Course Road and enter
their Car Park.
All Civilians and general public Red Stickers
approaching from the direction of Saddar or Peshawar
would follow red route and converge onto Akram Raja
Chowk on The Mall and turn onto Akram Raja Road reaching
their Car Park towards Eastern gate of Race Ground.
General public desirous of visiting the stalls
established on the occasion approaching from direction
of Peshawar and Saddar would converge onto Race Course
Road, Mall T Cross and turn onto Race Course Road and
reach their Car Park towards Western gate of Race Course
Park.
Roads leading to Fauji Mela to
be closed on 6th
All roads will lead to Race Course Park Rawalpindi on
Tuesday (6 Sept 2005) where a grand Fauji Mela is being
organized to celebrate the Defence Day of Pakistan in a
befitting manner. Invitations are open for the General
Public.
Meanwhile organizers are, busy round, the clock to
coordinate the spectacular event which include the air
show, para jumps, motor gliding, musical ride and tent
pegging, unarmed combat display, artillery quick
action,heli raid, vaulting and band display.
Defence Equipment of various kinds will also be
displayed at various stalls by various units of the
