Lara Dutta on her fun ride
Noreen Aslam

BOMBAY—Lara Dutta in a comedy film! This piece is enough to catch your attention. The beautiful and ravishing Lara is caught with her comic nerve in the film for the second time after ‘Masti’. This is her new avatar for the audience who had formerly seen her steaming dark beauty on more romantic side. And her fans are sure to scream out that they’re going to love her as she eases their nerves in ‘No Entry’. Lara, who didn’t have a treat of the best moments with her films this year, is surely going to comeback as she enters the ‘No Entry’ zone.
Excerpts from the
Interview:
What is ‘No Entry’ all about?
It’s a restricted zone that everybody enters! (Laughs) The title is tricky but there is nothing objectionable inside it. It already hints at the lighter and fun side of the story. The film is full of humorous and fun filled moments with out hinting at anything unpleasant. One more thing is that the humor is situational without sounding loud. Some people are drawing comparisons with ‘Masti’. But the film is all about serious comedy and nothing like adult comedy. It’s a film to chill people irrespective of their age.
From a seductress in ‘Masti’ to a housewife here.
This time its Bipasha who has got into my shoes as I play a possessive wife. But that not all, I love my husband very much and fear him leaving me away some day. This is the reason for my suspicion and crazy acts towards him. So I keep a tap of everything he does, literally everything.
How was it doing this funny character?
It was a whole lot of fun. This is one of a character of my career and I really loved playing it. Though the character and me are absolutely diverse in real life.
How was it to co-star with Anil?
When I first heard that I’m cast opposite Anil, I really got somewhat frightened owing to the reason that he such a senior star and an incredible actor. But when I started working with him I dumped all my fears for he was such easy going. He is a perfectionist, you know and inspires you with everything he does. He is a complete package of dedication and energy and gives his best to his films. He worked in this film as if it was his first film.
Who tickled your nerves among the lot?
Who else it can be when Salman is around! He is full of fun and humor both on and off screen. He is a real mess with his dialogues and you have to keep a track on those if you’ve a scene with him. The dialogues on the script and the dialogue he speaks are always different.
What about Fardeen Khan?
He is really sweet. The guy has a great comic timing and this will be explored in this film for the first time. He has an altogether different role in this film.
How was it with the female co-stars?
We all got into a fun ride while doing the film. Bipasha, Esha, Celina and me had a rocking time while working on the film. We were nuts doing crazy things. But we got very close to each other in the process and the bond is an incredible one. We would gossip and joke, keep nicknames, go shopping when we were not shooting. All of us discovered some thing about each other and the surprising thing was that we were all birds of the same flock. We’re still connected and it feels good.
What is the striking part about you in the film?
Being crazily suspicious about my husband!
