‘Shadi ho to Aisi’ staged at PNCA

ISLAMABAD – Rawalpindi based theatre group Artist’s Welfare Society Rawalpindi’s production titled “Shadi Ho To Aisi” was staged last evening at PNCA Auditorium as a consequence of the series of plays of National Drama Festival 2011. The 22 days long festival is organized by Pakistan National Council of the Arts with the manifesto to promote real drama and revive the traditions of theatre in the country. The festival started on 12th December will end on 29 December 2011.

The drama “Shadi Ho To Aisi” written and directed by Syed Saleem Afandi was staged before the packed hall audience highlighting the importance of willingness in deciding the marriages of children by their parents otherwise giving roots to various social problem, the play portrayed. The audience highly appreciated the efforts of organizing team and performance. The festival stages a new play every day and is open for public free of cost.
