The Daily Mail is an English
daily, published from the Federal capital of
the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, by Makhdoom
Babar who is also its Editor-in-Chief.
The Daily Mail was established
some two years back but it started the regular
publication from the 1st Jan 2002.
The launching team included just ten members,
Makhdoom Babar (Editor-in-Chief/Chief Reporter
& Editor Production), Khalid Awan (News
Editor), Shakir Rao, Abdul Qaddus Minhas(Sub-Editors),
Asmat Ullah Khan (System Administrator), Uzma
Zafar (Reporter), Tahir Iqbal (Photographer)
Imran Syed (Marketing Manager) Allah Rakha (Copy-Paster)
and Fazaldad (Office Boy). But today it has
strength of nearly seventy-two staff members
at the head office, working day & night
to give an excellent production to the valued
readers.
The Daily Mail has now setup
a very vast network of bureau offices and correspondents
through out the country and in all major capitals
of the world which makes the overall staff strength
to over one fifty dedicated journalists.
The Daily Mail is a combination
of highly competent professionals and latest
technology. Each journalist, working for the
organization is selected on merit to ensure
mainly high journalistic values. The installed
equipment is specially designed to cater the
modern day needs. Keeping in view that we have
an eager desire to survive in the new millennium
with dignity and honor, we embarked upon this
project.
We will significantly differ from our contemporaries
in many ways. In fact, we wish to do what others
are not doing. It is our desire and goal to
achieve the status of a trendsetter. We will
assure that we disseminate genuine as well as
useful information to the nation and the people
across the globe.
With an initial circulation of 10 thousand
papers every morning, The Daily Mail also launched
its website (with 1500 hits daily) on the 28th
of May, 2002 a day which holds a significant
importance in Pakistan history.
A very low price i.e. Pak Rs. 5/- only and
very useful and comprehensive pages (8) have
very rapidly made The Daily Mail a very popular
newspaper of the twin city with a constantly
increasing subscription list.
We thanks to Allah al-mighty for making this
possible, and to all our staff who put their
hard work and knowledge to bring out a newspaper
worthy of reading for everyone.
Thanks.
