˙ţTrain service remains affected on 2nd day of Ghotki tragedy
KARACHI—Schedule of inter-district and inter-provincial train services adversely affected due to presence of wreckage of trains at railway track which collided on Tuesday leaving 18 people dead and injuring about three dozens in Landhi area of Karachi.
The trains leaving for Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta were arriving to their destinations with eight to fifteen hours delay against their schedule and despite tall claims of Pakistan Railways trains schedule has not been restored.
The passengers waiting at Railway Station to take them to desired destinations complaint that they were suffering due to late arrival and departure of trains. Those waiting for arrival of their relatives from other cities of country also expressed their dissatisfaction over PR performance.
Pakistan Railways authorities when contacted by INP news agency stated that it would take two days to clear the track and bring the trains schedule to routine.
