ISLAMABAD—In wake of new surge of terrorism the security of the entire country has been placed on high alert from Khyber to Karachi and about 162 suspects including more than eighty foreigners have been arrested from the whole country during ongoing grand operation against terrorist elements.
According to media reports security all over the country has been beefed up.
In Rawalpindi Police and huge contingent of Elite force headed by SSP operation searched different colonies in Sadiqabad, Kuri road, Harram colony, Afandi colony and other colonies and held more than seventy suspects and have shifted them to Sadiqabad Police station. Some Afghanis are also among the arrested suspects.
The police Rangers conducted raid at check post in Sukkar and held more than forty foreigners and seized foreign currency from their possession.
The security forces have conducted search operation in Kohat and arrested twenty-nine suspects. The security forces conducted raids at Chaony and held several suspects. Large number of arrested suspects belong to Malakand, Swat, Bara and Mianwali.
The security forces conducted raid at Tull district of Hangu and held fourteen Afghanis. Seven people including five foreigners have been arrested from a couch coming from Peshawar to Karachi.—Online
