Senator Kerry due today

Islamabad—US Senator John Kerry will undertake a visit to Pakistan today (Sunday) to hold high level talks with political leadership of the country on Kerry-Lugar bill.
During visit, Senator John Kerry will meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, besides the political leadership of Pakistan, sources in foreign office told Online.
Senator John Kerry will try to remove reservations of the political leaders in connection with the Kerry-Lugar bill. Some days ago talking to Private TV Channel Senator John Kerry said that there is nothing in the bill, which poses threat to Pakistan’s sovereignty, and no specific condition has been mentioned for the aid.
The bill is for providing assistance to Pakistani people in health, education and development sectors, he said, adding that, we want to see progress and prosperity in Pakistan. He would also visit Afghanistan to meet US troops and commanders.
