ISLAMABAD—Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi and DG ISI Lt. Gen. Ahmed Shuja Pasha called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.
Current security situation was discussed during the meeting. Earlier, Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani separately called on the President and discussed current political situation with the President.
President Asif Ali Zardari has reiterated the resolve of the Government to fight against terrorism and extremism till the elimination of the menace from the country.
He made these remarks at the launching ceremony of anti-Polio Campaign here on Saturday evening. The President referred to the unfortunate incident of terrorism in Rawalpindi and said such cowardly acts cannot weaken Government’s resolve to fight all forms of the menace.
