NAB forms team to probe Arsalan case

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has formed a 10-member investigation team, in the light of the directives of the Attorney General (AG), to probe Arsalan Iftikhar’s alleged corruption charges.

Earlier, NAB received a letter from the office of the Attorney General with the request to form a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the Dr Arsalan Iftikhar and Malik Riaz case.On receiving the letter, NAB Chairman Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari is said to have decided to constitute a JIT comprising officers of NAB, the FIA, police and experts from the banking and legal sector to investigate the case.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Supreme Court directed in its order dated June 14, 2012, to the federal government to take necessary action against Arsalan Iftikhar, Malik Riaz and his son-in-law in the alleged corruption case.
