LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N President Nawaz Sharif has said his party would not allow the rulers to violate the Constitution and make mockery of verdicts of the apex court.
He was talking to PML-N Punjab Joint Secretary Rana Sajid Iqbal Advocate and other workers here on Sunday. He said it is incumbent upon everyone to show respect to judiciary and implement its decisions, but the rulers have made it their habit to violate every law of the land.
Nawaz said that it seems to be agenda of the rulers to do large-scale corruption and victimise masses. He said the country never witnessed such massive electricity and gas loadshedding in the past and had the rulers shown some seriousness to address the issues, various might have been resolved until now.
The PML-N president said whenever the Muslim League came into power, it put the country on the path to development and prosperity. He said the task was being performed now by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Punjab. He said the chief minister launched a number of people welfare schemes in the province and was working day and night to address problems of the people. He said people should not be depressed by the present state of affairs and soon they would get rid of the rulers.
