Youth urged to help boost economy

RAWALPINDI - Member National Assembly & Chairman National Assembly standing committee for trade Engineer Khurram Dastegir Khan said that students play vital role in economic uplift of the country.

He said that Pakistan has brilliant assets in the form of youth and proper utilization of the talent of young generation will make Pakistan economic power in the world.

He stated these words while addressing the “Business Plan Competition” programme participants; organized by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) here on Wednesday. Students from the various varsities of the region participated in the event President RCCI S.

Ali Raza Saeed Shah, Senior Vice President Mian Ateeq, Vice President Dr. Shimail Daud, former president Najamul Haq Malik and members of the executive committee were also present on the occasion.

Khurram Dastegir said that country is facing hard time of her history both economically and financially. Energy crunch has destroyed our industry and badly affect the business activities in the country, he said.

He further said that it is a test of our youth to come up with new ideas in the world of business.

He termed that business-academia interaction is need of the hour to promote trade & business activities in the country.

He lauded the role of RCCI for arranging such events to promote the local talent and industry as well.

Speaking on the occasion President RCCI Ali Raza said that RCCI took initiative to introduce fresh blood like student in the industry to give them chances to boom in the business world.

He said that RCCI striving hard to boost the local industry in the international trade markets but government must have to assist RCCI in the said mission.

He was of the view that government must play its due role in the economic uplift task set by the business community.

He demanded of the govt to take stake holders onboard in the policy making process.

At the end Chief guest distributed prizes among the winners of the competition.–Agencies
