What an Earth Hour!

The world celebrates Earth Day, here this Saturday. The rest of the world is fine but in Pakistan, there is already too much of the load-shedding, like 21 hours in Baluchistan alone, that there wasn’t really the need of cosmetic step of keeping unnecessary lights off, from 8:30p.m.-9:30p.m., at the occasion and the masses are laughing over the matter anyway as they are not getting the necessary lights most of the time, what to say of the unnecessary load!

We keep forgetting our language…

The popular most ‘Sautan’ is actually Hindu and the real word is Urdu is ‘Saukan’. Then there are colloquial terms like ‘thoray hi naa’ in Hindu and ‘thoray hi’ in Urdu. But due to the amalgamation of Indian films in our culture, we are slowly and gradually forgetting our own language, which is alarming if we get to think of it!
