ISLAMABAD – A 22-member delegation from China’s Xinjiang province was warmly received by Chairman Pakistan-China Institute, at Islamabad Airport on Wednesday.
The delegation, headed by Mr. Qiaojifu, the Deputy President of People’s Congress Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, is on a five-day visit to Pakistan to enhance cultural ties between the two countries through people-to-people contact and will discuss key areas of mutual cooperation. The delegation comprises members from diverse fields including journalists, academicians, and professionals.
During the first day activities, the delegates visited the touristic place at Margalla Hills and enjoyed lunch hosted by Zubair Khan, Vice President, Pakistan Muslim League, along with many members of the Pakistan-China Institute including Mr. Mushahid Hussain Sayed and Dr. Dushka Saiyid, editor of upcoming magazine ‘Youlin’. Mr. Qiaojifu also inaugurated the first-of-its-kind Chinese Book Section in Saeed Book Bank, Jinnah Super, and Islamabad.
