PTI Govt will shoot down drones

Sawabi – Chairman, PTI Imran has challenged PPP, PML-N and JUI that even if the three parties contest elections jointly they can not defeat PTI.

Addressing a big public gathering at Sawabi on Friday, Imran Khan. He said it was Nawaz Shahrif Maulana Fazal ur Rehman and Asafand Yar Wali who helped Zardari plunder the wealth of Pakistan.

He said that during the last four years the PPP government incurred a loss of Rs. 8500 billion to this country. He said the burden of this loss was passed on to the poor people of this country. Imran Khan said that Asif Zardari is the biggest criminal of this country and Nawasz Sharif Fazal ur Rehman and Asfand Yar Wali have helped him stay in power.

In return they the PPP rewarded them all by unfair means. He said that on one hand Nawaz Sharif says that Pakistan and Asif Zardari can not coexist. But on the other hand Nwasz Sharif has always helped Asif Zardari cope with the crisis.

Imran Khan said after coming into power PTI will get Pakistan rid of US aid. Similarly we shall not seek aid from any one but generate funds from our local resources. He said in our regime Pakistan air force would repel the Drone attacks. He said if we fail to resist Drone attacks, we shall resign from the government.

Our government will, he said, levy tax on big fishes. He said we shall also check the assets of PPP and will bring the looted wealth of this country back to Pakistan. He said before coming into power Nawaz Sharif had total assets of 40 crore and during 1982 to 1992 his assets increased to Rs. 15 billion.

He said now the people of Pakistan are more aware and they can see through their double standards. Imran Khan said now people of this country are determined to bring change in their country through the power of their vote.

On this occasion Javed Hashmi also addressed the meeting and said now youth of this country have got up and they will change the fate of this country. Javed Hashmi said the entire nation is looking towards Imran Khan.

On this occasion Jan Bahadru Khan former member provincial assembly of PPP Sherpao and his son Engineer Jaanzeb announced to join PTI.

Agencies Add: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said that those in power should be embarrassed about the ongoing drone attacks that violate Pakistan’s sovereignty and kill innocent people. Following the rally, a grenade attack injured 16 people including eight officers and women. Imran Khan expressed his deep concern over the attack, and sympathised with the victims.

At a rally in Swabi, Imran said the PTI will not let US attack Pakistan via drone strikes and will shoot their drones down.

“We will help them [US] to get out of Afghanistan but we will not become a part of their war,” Imran explained.

He further said that if the PTI comes to power, it will free the people of Pakistan from US slavery. “We won’t beg, we won’t take loans and will generate our own funds,” he said.

Bowling out the competition

Making predictions about the success of his party, Imran said even if Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) unite, PTI will “bowl them all out on the first ball.”

“The nation has decided it wants a change and no political party can defeat PTI’s tsunami,” Imran said.

Respectful green passport

Promising a better Pakistan under PTI’s leadership, Imran said his party will bring investment to the country and will tax the rich. He also said that his party will fix the education sector and will put in place a uniform education system.

“Green passport will be respected and people from abroad will come to Pakistan in search of jobs,” Imran stated.

“Pakistan is a rich country and we will make it better,” he added.

Grenades injure 16 at PTI rally

At least 16 people including eight police officials and women were injured when assailants tossed grenades on a police van in Swabi, following the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf rally, acting DPO, Muhammad Ashfaq told The Express Tribune.

As the PTI rally concluded in Shavay Adda in Sawabi, unknown men hurled two hand grenades at a police van, stationed at the site to provide security for the rally attendants. As a result, 16 people were injured.

Sources said that the policemen were returning to their vehicle when the attack took place. Ashfaq said that “some critically injured people have been shifted to Mardan,” before adding “there are no reported casualties so far, but we are not sure at the moment, as the numbers of the injured are still increasing.”

There were women who were also amongst the injured, however, the extent of their injuries were unclear at the moment as authorities are busy in coping with the situation.

Imran Khan sympathises with the victims

Chairman PTI, Imran Khan expressed his deep concern over the attack on the police bus after the PTI rally in Swabi concluded.

“This is an attempt by terrorists to derail the peaceful political process in Pakistan. This attack on a police vehicle and bus is strongly condemned as innocent people have been injured,” the statement read, adding that Imran Khan sympathised with the families of the victims and the injured.

The statement also said that the attack symbolises the deteriorating law and order situation in the country and poor governance in KPK.
