Saleem Karim to lead Pakistan vs England

­KARACHI – Pakistan Disable Cricket Association(KDCA) Thursday named a 21-member national squad for the historicseries against England being held at ICC Global Cricket Academy GroundDubai from February 11 to 19.

All-rounder Major Hasnain Alam of Lahore has been namedthe Vice Captain of 16-member team. Other players of the team included Matloob Qureshi,Arif Richard, Altaf Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed, Danish Ahmed (Wicketkeeper),Rao Javed, Jahanzaib Tiwana, Nihaar Alam, Abdullah, Farhan Saeed,Muhammad Kalam, Mehdi Hassan, Fayyaz Ahmed, Ameer Ahmed

eserve players are: Umzia-ur-Rehman, Muhammad Fayyaz,Abdullah Afridi, Rehan Ghani Mirza.

Javed Ashraf (Manager), Muhammad Nizam (Assistant Manager),Zafar Iqbal (Head Coach), Fareedddin (Coach), Dr. Noman Palikar (team

doctor), Amiruddin Ansari (Series Director) will be officials of theteam.

Team was picked by the selection committee headed bySabih Azhar with Jameel Kamran, Aslam Breach, Javed Ashraf and Fareeuddin as it members. Team was named at news conference by Secretary PDCAAmiruddin Ansari alongwith Chairman ABAD Mohsin Shaikhani and Media

Manager Muhammad Nizam.

Pakistan impaired cricketers will play three 40 overOne-day International and two T20 Internationals during first-everinternational disability series. The series will start with two T20 Internationalsunder floodlights on February 11 and 12 followed by three ODIs on

February 15, 17 and 19.

"We are eagerly looking forward to series betweenimpaired cricketers Pakistan and England," he commented. miruddin recalled that Pakistan Disabled Cricketer havealready made their mark at international level with fine showing onthe maiden trip to Malaysia and Singapore.—Agencies
